I am an Italian wildlife photographer with a deep passion for the conservation of amphibians and reptiles.
I was in the vicinity of Matera (Italy) to observe a subspecies of the Aspis viper found in southern Italy.
Searching like a treasure hunt for a small, shy snake amongst the dry stone walls, I came across this stone which immediately intrigued and fascinated me. On the spot, I put it in my pocket without giving it much thought, but now, after about two months of it being in my home…
looking at it every now and then… I’ve become curious to dig deeper and understand its origin.
Thank you very much!!!
